Dr. Kosei Tanaka is a post-doctoral researcher at the Micalis Institute in INRA.  He developed the technology to delete large region in chromosome, and mapped nonessential regions in the 4.21 MB chromosome of Bacillus subtilis. Now, he is interested in genome-scale metabolism and phenotyping of reduced complexity strains.
